Aims and Objectives:


Build an intercultural experience to enable the volunteers, the association and the host community, to learn more about a culture and a society different from their own: this is in fact a necessary moment to reach a real enhancement of the various cultural contributions.

To offer human resources, in the figure of the volunteers, support and answers to social and health needs and learning of children, tribal women and disabled in a context of sustainable community development.

 

    Activities:    
 
  • Promotion of intercultural communication;
  • Support of social inclusion and equal opportunities;
  • Stimulation of progress in vocational training, lifelong education and entrepreneurship development;
  • Strengthening of sustainable development and solidarity at a global level;
  • Development networks and links at local, national and international levels
  • Sustainment of international cooperation.
 

 

International Cultural & Social Youth Work Camp

JRP with FSL-India have already organized more than 7 camps around the state. Volunteers across the globe come together for 2-3 weeks and work on projects of their choice with a community while learning about the local culture. This project took place at City of Temples, Bhubaneswar which is located in Odisha, east of India. The youth workshop which was conducted in Nadankanan Govt. High School, involved teaching children, environment awareness, eco-tourism, yoga, meditation, dance art form, forum-theatre, heritage conservation, Odishi culture, healthcare, hygiene etc.

These work camps is a life time opportunity for youth to interact with the local community and volunteers from around the world. Three Korean three Italian and three Indian Youth volunteers participated n the camp from 14th to 27th January, 2013.

Project Outcome : 

  • This was useful to promote world peace and solidarity. 
  • Mutual respect and inter-cultural exchange by facilitating international voluntarism among youth in the field of Natural Resource Management and Socio Economic Development of local community. 
  • Community peoples experienced of living and working together with people from different socio-cultural background towards social and environmental cause creates mutual understanding and respect.
  • Volunteers organize activities to entertain and open up the minds of children to the outside world.
  • This enabled the youth and the school students with opportunities to experience cultural exchange and learn other languages or skills.
  • The aim of this foundation for generating socially responsible Indian adults who work in the fields of socio-economical development, health and hygiene, socially vulnerable groups, children and protection of the environment.
